Specialist Centres

Much of our research is underpinned by the six Medical Research Council Centres based at King's College London.  These include:

• MRC and Asthma UK Centre in Allergic Mechanisms of Asthma
• MRC Centre for Transplantation

• Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre at Guy's Hospital
• Juvenile Diabetes Research Centre

We also work closely with the Federation of Clinical Immunology (FOCIS) Centre of Excellence at King's College London

Commercial partnerships

Engagement with industry is key to us driving forward biomedical innovations for patient benefit.

• A five year strategic agreement with BD Biosciences means we can work together on the development of clinical diagnostics and research platforms for a range of immune diseases
• Our Twin researchers are collaborating with Pfizer in pain research
• Guy's and St Thomas' and King's College London have a collaborative agreement with Quintiles
• Our genomics facility is a recognised Illumina site
