Staff support
You can bring your own team with you into the CRFs to carry out your studies. However, if you need more support, please discuss your resource needs with us as soon as you are aware that you would like to use the CRFs.
We may have other support available. For example, we may be able to provide research nurse support for your studies, help to book patients or to retrieve patients’ medical records. We have recently introduced a bespoke booking system, which will be invaluable to investigators scheduling research participants.
Hours of operation
Both CRFs are currently open from 9am-5pm from Monday to Friday. All patient /participant areas must be vacated by 5pm unless prior permission is given by the CRF nurse manager.
We want to offer the flexibility you need to successfully conduct your studies and are happy to discuss arrangements with you. For example, we can explore providing extended opening hours.
Take a look around
If you are investigator and you are considering using the facilities for your research, you are welcome to take a look around and meet the staff.
Email: crf@gstt.nhs.uk to arrange a tour.
Applying to use the facilities
If you are interested in carrying out your research involving patients or healthy volunteers in the CRFs, please talk to the CRF nurse manager for that facility as early as possible, ideally before you submit your grant application to ensure the correct costs are included.
